Are you tired of just

"pushing through the pain?"

  • Are you doing all the "right" things—stretching, resting, foam rolling—but still dealing with the same nagging joint pain every time you work out?

  • Do you wake up feeling stiff and achy, wondering why your body feels older than it should?

  • Are you frustrated by hitting physical plateaus, feeling like your own body is holding you back from the activities you love?

  • Have you been told that pain is just a normal part of getting older, or a necessary side effect of training hard?

I know exactly how frustrating that cycle is, because I’ve been there.

Like many of my clients, I’ve spent a lot of time managing and mitigating the symptoms of chronic pain that turned simple acts like washing the dishes into a brutal flare-up that had me on the floor for the next hour.

My health journey led me through CT scans, X-rays, and MRIs. I consulted countless specialists, all with their varying philosophies and certifications. While each had done their best to help me, I was unable to receive a clear diagnosis, let alone a solution. I was told to pop an Advil and go about my day.

Not being satisfied with the idea of a life of simply managing pain symptoms, I made a deep commitment to do everything I could to get better and started on my journey to understand and heal myself.

I realized the standard fitness and rehab models were actually harming me.
In my search for relief, I was handed generic physical therapy sheets full of exercises attempting to "fix" a localized problem. But they were completely missing the bigger picture. No one asked about my inflammatory diet. No one asked about my sleep quality or how my nervous system was handling stress. Dealing with my own scoliosis and hypermobility, I realized that constantly chasing "flexibility" was destroying my foundation and overstretching my joint capsules, ligaments, connective tissue, and lumbar spine. I was creating massive instability under the guise of "getting fit."

It is a dangerous pattern I now see constantly. I see it in dedicated yoga and Pilates practitioners who push for extreme mobility without structural stability, leading to chronic joint wear. I also see it in older adults who are given generic, inappropriate exercises when they are simply trying to move without pain and maintain their independence.

The CHEK Approach
That search for a true, root-cause solution led me to the CHEK (Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology) Institute. The CHEK system is the gold standard in whole-body healing and performance.

As a practitioner, I don't look at your body as a collection of isolated muscles to be exhausted. I look at it as a fully integrated system. To truly resolve pain and restore biomechanics, we have to look past the specific spot that hurts. We assess your entire physical structure, your nervous system, and your daily lifestyle habits. We don't just treat the symptom; we resolve the root cause.

The 90-Minute Assessment

If you’re ready to stop guessing and start healing, it begins with clarity. During our initial 90-minute Integrative Movement Assessment, we map out exactly how your body is functioning by evaluating four key areas:

  • Your Foundation: A check of your foot mechanics to see how your contact with the ground might be causing knee or hip pain.

  • Your Alignment: A measurement of your standing posture and spinal curves to spot where your body is overcompensating.

  • Your Core & Breath: An audit of your breathing habits, which directly control your core strength and deep tissue tension.

  • Your Movement: Testing basic, primal movement patterns to find hidden restrictions.

You will walk away with a crystal-clear understanding of how your body is currently operating, plus a customized roadmap of corrective exercises to fix those imbalances so you can move, train, and live pain-free.
